The European Industry Summit took place on 11 February 2026, followed by the informal EU leaders’ retreat in Alden Biesen on 12 February.
The focus now shifts to the European Council meeting on 19 March.
On that day, Heads of State and Government are expected to discuss Europe’s energy cost challenge and the ambition of “One Europe, One Market.”
Industry hopes the European Council will move beyond general conclusions and agree on concrete actions. A clear signal from Europe’s leaders is urgently needed to restore competitiveness in Europe.
